About Anita & Lee Roy

Anita Gillette is a veteran actress having appeared in 14 Broadway shows, including Neil Simon’s Chapter Two for which she won a Tony nomination. She has appeared in innumerable off-Broadway and regional theatres.

She may be best known for her role as Mona in Moonstruck. Other films include Shall We Dance (opposite Richard Gere), The Guru, She’s the One, (opposite Jennifer Anniston), The Great New Wonderful, and Fitzgerald Christmas.

On TV, she was Tina Fey’s mom on 30Rock. Other TV shows include Quincy, Law and Order, The War at Home, and just about every game show ever conceived, her favorite being Pyramid. She was a foil for Johnny Carson for at least 50 shows. She has done quite a bit of Cabaret appearances, her favorite place being Birdland. Her venues include 54Below, London’s, and The Pheasantry.

About Lee Roy Reams

Lee Roy Reams has been hailed by The New York Times as "Broadway's song & dance man nonpareil" for his leading Broadway roles in The Producers (Carbonell, Helen Hayes & Las Vegas Life Awards), 42nd Street (Tony & Drama Desk Nominations), Beauty & the Beast, La Cage Aux Follies, Hello, Dolly!, An Evening With Jerry Herman, Applause, Lorelei, Oklahoma!, And Sweet Charity.

On Broadway, he directed the last revival of Carol Channing's Hello, Dolly! and An Evening With Jerry Herman. His TV, concert, and cabaret appearances have taken him around the world and to the White House before four U.S. Presidents (Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr. & Clinton). Most recently, he played to another sold-out house at Broadway's Feinstein's / 54 BELOW and made history as the first American to star as Dolly in an Equity production of Hello, Dolly! at the Wick Theatre, where he also starred in La Cage Aux Folles.

He's a board member of the CHITA RIVERA AWARDS and received the Friars Club Thespian of the Year Award. He is also a proud recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from his alma mater, CCM / University of Cincinnati.

About Strings Con Brio

Strings Con Brio is a community string orchestra that engages 60 musicians of varying ages and abilities from student through the professional level. The organization was founded in 2015 by Executive Director Monica Sirocchi, a violinist in the orchestra who holds a Masters of Nonprofit Management, and performs under the artistic direction of Kenneth Bowermeister, Conductor. Maestro Bowermeister is the former Conductor and Music Director of the Venice Symphony and was the former Assistant Concertmaster of the Florida West Coast Symphony, now the Sarasota Orchestra, for 21 years. Additionally, he served as the Orchestra Director at Pine View School for 30 years. Please join Strings Con Brio on February 18, 2024 to enjoy a selection of pieces from Broadway presented as a chamber ensemble.
